350x vs 250r

hey, I'm looking to put a 350x motor into my 96 300ex soon, my question is, will I be able to hang with him in all around play riding(ie trails,fields,track, ect) Or is he still gonna kill me? His 250 is mostly stock and so will the 350 for now. Just wanna know if I should mod it b4 I even bolt it in. Thanks

When riding in the trails, it's more about the rider than the bike. I had a 250x, and my girlfriend had a 400EX, but there was no way she could keep up with me in the trails.

The 250r will still have more power, and better suspension than the 350x. You will have to put alot of money into both the engine and the suspension to equal the 250r...
