View Full Version : Golden West Cycle Stage III ?????

I was looking at GWC's stage III kit for the 400ex. I am wondering if the cam's are any good. The kit seems like a pretty good deal it includes:

Bills Thunderpipe, K&N filter, Splitfire plus(who cares?), Complete carb kit ( Edelbrock), Hi compression piston ( no idea what size), GWC Cam, Valve spring kit, T-shirt( WOW!) and stickers (LOL)

I dont know if this is any good, has anyone every bought this kit or the parts seperatly, hows the quality?

Also how is GWC to deal with?

Yeah the price seems to be very good on that kit but ive never heard of that brand name before. I would give it a shot ill price it out right now

Rull race pipe bills thunder like 400
Edelbrock carb 400
Cam 120-150
Bore kit/high comp piston 250
valve springs 90-125
All the other ish 20
total cost 1280 goin with the lowest prices
Right there its worth the money.

Yeah, Now I just gotta get some moeny lol. I have seen this company for years in Dirtwheels, They have about 3 pages in it. I dont what size the high compression piston kit is though. Whether its stock bore, 416, 426, or 440 I dont know.

They are a good company and all their products are made by other companies and they pay to have their name on them. I bet the cam is a web cam 463/9i more than likely or the duncan racing cam because they are a partner company with duncan.

Id check around .Golden west seems to be high priced to me compared to some others in DW.Havet looked at what your saying but other thing are much higher.moto-man,parts direct,rec unlimited,and magic racing usually have good prices.Magic has great shipping too.only 2-3 days most of the time.

Yeah, but I am pretty sure they dont have one of these combo kits. I have dealed with Motoman before they are pretty good, and I have been told Magic is excellent. Maybe if I phoned them they would peice one of these kits together for about the same price because buying each part seperate is gunna be more $$$
