i raced my 250ex before. last year. let me tell you this...you won't win a national. no way, and you may never even win in any class. the most important thing is you will learn and be able to get used to racing on a fairly simple bike. just go and have fun and you will eb fine. i finished 6th in points on mine last year. just do your best and then if you like it, buy a race bike.

im starting to race district hare scrambles. i am the only 250ex in my class, not to mention the only four stroke. usally around 18-20 riders all on modded blasters. my last race i got 6 outta 19, but i didnt have my pipe yet. yea all the bikes faster but you as the rider just has to make up for that. for now this bike will do, but im gettin a 400 as soon as i get enough money.

The only thing I have to worry about with him is if I run over him after he dumps cause he's in no condition to race.

LOL geez you guys are nice. I wouldnt suggest racing a 250ex, go for a 400ex, You could find one with a bit of mods for the value of your 250.

Yeah I hate to say it but, when southwick comes around its going to tear him up. but it whips everybody else too.

well i would get a 400, but i dont have the money. i could sell my quad for like 2500 at the most but i still owe 1000 so that would only leave me with 1500 plus if i race blasters i will have somewhat of a chance. i beat blaster, 300exs, and even 400's all the time around here in the pits and on trails and i am runnin 18"s when they are runnin 22"s so i think i would have somewhat of a chance racin the blasters on the track.

rider250ex: just come up and race at Jolly rogers on June 8th and then you can decide if MX is for you. You'll be in my class (91-300 Air cooled).

You have to sign up for ATVA which is $35, NEATV-MX ~$90 and to enter $50. You need nerf bars, teather, riding boots, numbers.......
Jumps it all depens on how much balls you got....even the pros don't hit 100% of the jumps there. They are just too big. Most people in our class hit/clear 70% of the jumps maybe....Hope that answers your Jump question.

you sign up at the track on that day but you will be in line for a long time if you are not there by 6:30am. You need a number plate on the back but the front you can put the #'s on the plastics or use another # plate

300exHILLER
05-23-2003, 02:17 PM
yes but you can use any grab bar just use zip ties to hold the # plate on
