i have the ac engine skid plate. I put it on sat. night and sunday i had to use it for the first time :D i was on the ice and there was a log about 2 inches higher than my clearance i ran right over it. It slid like a sled on ice over it and im sure if i dint have it on , it woulda been a bit more bumpy. I would reccomend you get one. The only thing you dont need a skid plate for is sand dunes.

I have a Protec stainless steel swingarm skid on my 300EX, it is apsolutely positively the best there is. Its indestructable. I ride where I NEED it, and it has not let me down yet. Ive had it for over 2 years, its never bent, and this thing takes a BEATING. I Highly reccomend this skid, its from Protect, price is around 125, worth every penny, I can get ya the phone number if you need it, there ads are in all the dirtwheels magazines if you wanna look there

Get the stainless unless you like fixing a skid plate after every ride.

Get the Pro-Tect skid. Most of the top GNCC Pro`s use them.
