Sorry everyone, i have just gotten word that we cant ride at this place in Plaistow, i have heard of this place called slaughtersand the directions are:

slaughters is on 106 in concord new hampshire look for a sign on the right hand side if ur going south if ur going north it will be on the left that says waste INC.. on it and then righ after that on the same side there is a dirt road that follows a chain link fence go straight on that and foll the dirt and right after the woods on the left is slaughters there is jumps and alot of trail riding.

if youve seen it, tell me, give me a review, like how many people could fit there and what kind of terrain and anything from people in the area who complain and how loud out mufflers should or shouldnt be and if you need to be registered, or if its private or public, help me out here, i wanna ride at someplace new with some new people and i think this is gonna be great if we can get it all organized!

8/31 is the last sunday in august, hope to see all u there

Thanks for the directions, I went looking for this place last year but couldn't find it. I may check it out this weekend.. I might be there for the ride, but IMO, we should make it a weekend or 2 earlier, because I start school the day after that..

better directions

coming through northwood on rt 4 keep going untill you see the exit for 393/concord after geting on that take exit 3 to 106 this dumps you into a intersection take a left it takes you down past a honda dealership and it goes towards pemproke(sp) its prolly a good 3 miles down that road you will see waste inc. Take the road directly after that on the right. I didnt know exactly were to park but i stayed on the dirt road untill the power lines and parked there. From the dirt road part of the pit was posted so we ddint stay around much in there but i got some sweet pics from right around were i parked not sure its legal or not but i didnt get a ticket. Some of the sand hils are fun to climb the pit is decent sized to play around in but there has been quite a bit of logging going on around the trails so some of the trails have been blocked only road for about 1 1/2 hours but some fast paced fun easy trails pretty leasurly but lots of fun should be a good place to ride for a day come august just pray that it isnt dry cause if it is it was be a nightmare from the dust
looking forward to the trip guys i would look into finding another place to park though also there is a honda store right down the road incase anything breaks!

Slaughters sounds cool, but as I wrote in another post, Big fines if you get caught there. They've been doing a big crack down in the concord area. A good friend of mine got caught loading his bike in his pick up after riding there. He got a $300 fine and they impounded his YZF(cost him another $100 to get it back). He 's been riding there for 12 years with no problems. He got busted by Fish and Game. They told him they were cracking down hard this year, due to complaints from the owners of the land. It's getting real hard to find any legal places to ride.

i went there today and didn't see any cops.. I sAW About 6 bikes, 10 utility quads,2 or 3 sport quads and 1 three wheeler. the bikes can fly around that pit and have a great time. For myself I had a hard time cause I'm only stock and there are LOTS of whoops maybe 10 0r 15 in a stretch and at least 3 sets of whoops. My stock machine don't have the power or the suspension. second gear is good on whoops but winds out too soon and third luggs at low speed. Sure I'll go cause you guys need someone to take up the rear:D
There are legal trails up here in the Sunnapee,Newport,Claremont area with miles and miles of trails that go forever. I just set the cruise control and fly! You better have a good set of skid plates! there is also a pit here that's a good size. It's a gravel pit and no ones there after 5 or on weekends. lots of bikes go ther to climb the walls. I'm 37 miles from slaughtersands.

I ride there all the time. It sucks now because of the soccer fields. A few years ago it was awesome, but now its not worth driving too. I'm right in Bedford, so I'm there all the time, but I wouldn't bother driving out to it. Theres only like 1 or 2 decent jumps there, and we didn't build them wide enough for quads. The pit is about 2 or 3 acres, with like 3 or 4 miles of trails off of it. Half of the pit is now soccer fields/parking, and like 1/3rd of whats left of the pit was just bulldozed flat and filled with dirt, and is overgrown now.

I've heard about that place in Seabrook - how is it?

I may check Slaughters out some time, but I don't want a ticket..

I wish Litchfield was still as open as it was a few years ago. Now its bikes only and only on the little practice track. It used to be free reign in the huge sand pit, both MX tracks, and all the sand/gravel piles and surrounding trails.

That guy in New Boston, NH won his court case to open his 837 acres up to ATVs so that should be awesome once the trails are cut.

Theres always Clough.. :ermm:

Oh yea, whose going to the ATV Jamboree at Gunstock on August 24/25? I'll be there..

I also read somewhere that you are allowed to ride ATVs/bikes UP the Mt. Washington summit road. My neighbors and us are going up there sometime this summer to do it. Should be fun :)

Oh yea, I have some pics of the Bedford pit. They bulldozed it even further now though, these pics are from April.

I dont have a site for the Gunstock thing, but its organized by like NHATV Trail Riders or something. i went 2 years ago. They have a tractor pull like comp, drag racing, and a mud pit. And about 5 miles of trails on the mountain.. I think its like 15$ per person to get in..

blasterrider123
07-24-2003, 07:57 AM
hey the gunstock ride is organized by the new hampshire atv club and it is on august 23/24 and you cant ride quads there any otehr days but those 2 days which sucks. but i just came home from camping and on my way up to the camp ground on rt. 16 in rochester going forever on the side of the road wwas a bunch of atv trails. maybe we should try to get a group together to ride those trails 2

Gunstock is located in Gilford, NH. I don't believe they have to be registerred. I was there 2 years ago, and theres was a nasty 60' mud pit (dont bother trying on a sport), 200' drags (I think it was 200', they aren't head to head, its for MPH), and a tractor pull like thing (for utes, try to pull a 1500lb sled as far as you can). Then they open up about 5 miles of trails on the mountain for you to ride on. Its pretty fun.
