I'm looking for a slip-on for my 2002 400ex. I don't care how loud it is. actually the louder the better. so what is the best slip-on for my ex. I would prefer the mbrp powertech-4 because my local dealer carrys the pipe and it looks sweet but i can't find any information on it.
right now my 400ex is stock but plan to add dynojet carb kit, K&N air filter with precharger, rev limiter 1000+RPM, hot cam, tires.

thanks

well if you want louder, the MBRP isnt very loud i think, if you want the most power and loudest, get a Sparks X-6

I have an FMF pc IV, and its loud enough to get me a ticket, and 4 calls to the house. It also adds some top end. Thinking of going with the Sparks X-6 tough....

In my opinion, the best slip-on available is the TC racing (TC as in Tom Carlson, *not* CT racing). I have ridden 400s with other types of slip-ons and full systems, and the TC slip-on is what I like best, that's why I'm using it:D.

Also, if you want something loud, a TC slip-on with the open (racing) end cap is plenty loud enough for you to hear your quad among a bunch of others. You can run a disc type spark arrestor in it if you want to make it a bit quieter (it's still loud though), but it hurts the power just a bit. I only ride on private land and race tracks, so I use the open end cap.

The White Brothers E-Series and the HMF slip-on are also pretty good.

I'm not tryin to start crap but why do the guys with all of the 250exs and 300exs anwser with the sparks x-6? you probably have never even rode a 400ex wit a x-6. I'm sure some of you have but i think you shouldn't give an opnion if youve personaly never rode it. Just looking at the charts can't tell you much. Like i said im not tryin to start anything.

When I got mine back in '99, the TC slip-on was $295, and the last time I checked they were still $295.
