What do you think is the problem with my 250X? It was running fine then it just died goin 5th pinned. I thought it was out of gas but it wasnt after a while it started but it will only idle and will not rev at all. I checked my carb and it was fine. I had to take off my plastic to get to it so im doin my valves to. Where is the timing marks on a 250X.
Anyone in Farmington NM?

take the float bowl off and make sure the main jet didn't vibrate loose....

also check all the basics (good fuel flow through the petcock, carb boots in good shape, plug good, etc....)

Take the air cleaner to carb boot off. With it running look in the carb & see if the slide moves up when you hit the gas.If not take the top of the carb off & you will see the problem.

Replace your sparkplug and make sure you are getting strong spark. Also are your running any type of kill cord ? If so check all connections to make sure nothing is grounding out.

Ok I would get a repair manual and got through the steps for something not starting. First I would check to make sure u are getting spark. Second make sure you are getting fuel. Lastly if you have spark fuel and some compression it should start.
