Does anyone have pics of quads with 6-pack racks on them cause I need to see how far they stick out. If anyone has them do they ever catch the ground while riding wheelies. And how do you like them?

I have a PRM 6 pack rack on my R. I will put some pics on here later in the morning when I get home from work. It hasn't hit the ground YET, but I did tear an AC grab bar off and ruined my new Full Bore plastic the day before I ordered the 6 pack rack so I'm sure it will hit the ground sometime.

If you wheelie they will hit the ground.

I just bought a maier 6 pack rack a couple months ago. All it does is bolt to your orginal grap bar. So you save the extra length. It's a universal rack and it's great. only 20 bucks too.

www.risdesigns.com

tell Ricky you seen Ernie's 400 and he told you to call them up.

I think like 90.00 for it...

It's really good aluminum thou, it actually bent my subframe before bending itself. Guess I shouldn't pull wheelies that high on hard packed..... lol

You guys ever get lost out there?

Str8Wicked

In Glamis it's easy as hell to get lost.... Thats why we always have someone riding with us with a GPS...... My GPS is cool but need to get a bar mount for it....

There is woods ridings here and there in the mountains but I think most of us out in So. Cal hit the deserts or the dunes....

Hey Str8Wicked, what kind of GPS do you have? I am looking into a magellan sport trac!

i got an armidilo out n back rack from rocky mountian for around $70. it holds a cooler and a 1 gallon gas can in case i run out of gas. I got a soft cooler for it and it holds about 15 cans + some ice pacs. it will save you from going over in a wheelie, saved me twice, andno it does not scrape when you are on the balence point

bigbadbrad

It's a Magellan, but an old one, for got the model number... I want to get a new one since they are much easier to use and look much nicer...

After riding Glamis awhile I never get lost. You have the mountians on one side and the canal on the other. Piece of cake. Go to the top of athe highest dune and your set.

What do you all think of PRM six pack racks? Do I have to cut my grab bar? I don't really want to cut it.

Where would i get one of those armadillo ones that hold a cooler and gas. I would like to get one for the 300ex when i get it and would I have to cut the grab bar or anything cuz i really dont want to cuz I would prolly only use the rack on long rides.

just rember yes it will keep u from going over on wheelys but the longer your grab bar is the more leverege(sp) there is to bend ur subframe:devil:

ps- my stock bar keeps me from filpping on wheelies:p

bigbadbrad

you can get an armidilo out and back rack at rocky mountain. they do not require any cuting or any modifactations to be put on, you just bolt it in place of the stocker

I got this for my dad for father's day and for helping out a ton on my house. It mounted up easy, thank god (no instructions) We used it for the first time this weekend riding 80 miles & it was a life saver:D By the way it's an AC from motoman, but didn't come with a sticker:confused:

Do you think you could put a gas can on that instead of a cooler:confused: If my bud and I both get one one could hold gas and the other hold the cokes (yes they do smell like beer I dont know what happened:D ) Or do you think gas would way too much

I have the AC 6 pack rack also, its a nice rack but its not much of a grab bar, If you have a cooler in it theres no where to grab, to pick up the rear end! Another down fall is when cleaning your quad you cant set it up on its rear wheels. But it has saved me many of times from going thirsty. Another thing if your tresspassing on private land and you have beer in there look out, they will bust you for it also, just dont get caught!!
