crazy clutch problem

ok i know this isnt a suzuki site or anything but my friend's got a 1987 lt230. his clutch was really bad so we put a new one in, went in fine. we got it running again and everytime you pull in the clutch and shift it into gear it will jump forward and stall. the thing will not fully disengage. we have both tried everything adjustment wise. i have tried messing with both perches to the extreme, the one on the lever and the one on the case, nothing works. my assumption is that the clutch kit came with an extra disk and he happened to put it in assuming that he needed them all. has anyone heard of this or can anyone give any tips. thanks

I'd try to find a microfiche online, or give your dealer a call to see how many clutch plates there should be. I have not heard of them including an extra plate, though. Perhaps you were sold the wrong clutch kit.
