Hey, were you and a buddy at the last Beaverdale hillclimb? If it was you, does your machine have the stock swinger or the one with the extended?

Yes, we were there and tried that incredible climb for the first time. His 508EX (with extended swingarm) was not dialed in a did not cross the light. My 502EX, with stock swingarm and 22" mud tires, stock gearing did cross the lights and place 2nd. Not bad for my first time, huh?

Yes, not bad for a 1st attempt. The guy riding the 440EX with the extended swinger (my buddy Matt) is only one a few guys who actually top the hill with a 4 stroke. I believe a guy made it last year one time on a Raptor. Other than that, I don't believe any other 4 strokes have made it over the top. I have yet to try it. I am almost sure I will not make it over. I wanna wait till I get my new swing-arm done (+4") Are you coming to the next one on June 1st? If you do, leave the big mud tires at home. Bring a new set of Ohtsu Radials. The best tire for that hill. Guaranteed. Anyway, here is a pic I took of you ( I think this is you) in the pit, gettin ready for the climb.

Thx for the awesome picture upload, I'll put it in my digital archive, heh!! Anyway, yes next time I'll be better prepared for the climb. I'll have stock sneakers on the rear which should help big time!! Also stock rear should lower my gearing a little since I was running 15/38 with 22" and still hit the light at top. Matt is really impressive climbing that hill. You can tell he has done it many times!!

Check this picture out, my friend emailed it too me, heh!!

Yes Matt is good at it. Just wait till ya see his newest project......Honda CBR600F2 engine in a TRX250X chassis. He has it....ahh.....1/2 done. Says it should be finished in time for the "Thunder In The Valley" climb. (June 29th) I will try to get over to his house this weekend and snap a couple pics of it. Here is a pic of your buddy.

Chris,
How ya been man? Is your bike still running well? Mine is still doing great. Got it dialed in perfectly on alky and all my other things finished up. Placed 1st at the Memorial Day drags this weekend in the 400cc class and the 600+cc class. Took home a pot of $500 so it turned out pretty well!!

Here he is gettin' some much needed help. He had trouble keepin' the front end down and had to shut down. The quad started rollin backwards, he bailed and tried runnin' with it to slow it down 'till the guys grabbed it. He sprained his ankle pretty bad, saw him today where he works, LIMPIN' 'round.
