I have an 03 300ex . It has a full pipe.jetted and filter. Will it hurt if I run with the air box lid off or will I have to rejet.Will it run to hot?

nope shouldn't hurt the quad at all. but when i run my lid off it cuases my bike to have bad throttle response. so u might have to rejet. i just got 6 1" holes drilled in my box with the uni filters in them

It won't hurt anything, just try it out and see if you like it, and if you don't like it you can just put the lid back on. I have holes drilled in mine lid also. I noticed your from NJ, whereabouts? I'm in central.

It won't hurt it at all. And it WILL help the bottom end. Plus it makes it sound BADAZZ!

Im from south jersey (Bellmawr) to be exact.I ran it today and tried it with the lid off it seems to run good little more peppy but the people I was
riding with today said it will run hottter is that good or bad.and also the backfiring problem didnt go away after i used high temp silicoln on all the joints?
