Save money for the 400, a 90 isn't going to do too much for ya.

Don't lie about your age either....that's just wrong. We had an excellent track in our area, a kid lied about his age.....he ended up in the flying meat wagon with a broken neck. Parents sued the track owners and everything went downhill from there. The track won the lawsuit, but it took alot out of the owner. use your heads people.....

Dont bother with the 90. Wait till you're 16 and get a full size quad.

Hello Guys:

The post is wrong. 14 & 15 years olds CAN race a Blaster or a 300EX at the nationals or locally.

I am an ATV congressman, and I was on the committee that made these changes.

The guy can race!

I am actually the ATV chairperson for the state of Michigan, and I am the ATV Congressperson as well. Basically that means we go to the annual AMA/ATVA Congress, and work on the rules proposals sent in by the members around the country. This year I was the ATV committee chairman, which means I directed the meeting. At the committee meetings we discussed each rule proposal, and made any alterations to it, and then voted whether to accept and forward the rule on to the entire AMA congress body. When we had our package of rules proposals as passed by the committee, I then introduced those to the enitre AMA congress for approval, and if they had any questions or discussion I attempted to answer those questions as they came up. That's about it. I think one of the best things to happen since I have been attending however is the introduction of some more sensible rules for the 14 & 15 year old guys so they can race however.

Jnine, I commend you. You are one of the few that actually work to find solutions for us quad riders. Thanks.

Thanks guys. The rule changes only make sense though. After all, a 14 year old can race a 450cc speedway bike (which doesn't even have brakes) and a 12 year old can legally race a 500cc motocross bike. Tell me why they can't handle a Blaster.
