K&N Powerlid

[GNCC#829]

Has anybody saw the new Powerlid by K&N? I saw it in a catalog from them that I got today. Basicly it is an airbox lid that has a K&N filter built in. It looks pretty cool. I think it will retail for about 75 bucks.

I dont see it being worth $75 when you can just buy a K&N and remove to lid...
It seems like dirt would get on the "powerlid" easily

but it would be better and have more flow than a prefilter for the k&n too

75$ for what? To say you have one.

Made mine for 8$. Looks great similar to EHS but used UNI
prefilter material instead of outerwears.

It was in K7N's new catalog that they sent me. Basicly it is a filter that takes the place of the airbox lid, and you use your air filter too. I can't post a pic, because I don't have a scanner.:(

Looks like a good idea for an XC rider.

Personally, I'd just take my lid off and put an outerwear over the box or keep my aftermarket lid that came with my R.

A set of handlebars would be more useful than that lid

personally that looks like a waste of $75...id rether buy an outerwear

How do you think this will do against EHS outerwear lid? Does the Outerwear material allow a lot of water through it?

After looking at a little closer I can see some benifits for it. I does replace removing the snorkel, so it can be blocked off. I basicly is like running 2 air filters. Now if is worth $75, it would depend on each rider. I see some companies charging about that for a stock air lid with an outerwares screwed to it. :rolleyes:
I would think that I would want an Outerwares over the lid, just for water repellant quailities that it offers.
That is just my thoughts......

Yea the water repellent outerwear is nice but this looks like it would breathe better consider EHS' lid design only cuts out a circle in the lid, unlike this where the whole top is used to get fresh air.

Unless submerged this should soak up water just fine
