i mainly noticed it being harder to start. maybe you will get throttle response. now that i did it, i don't think i would do it again.

i felt if my throttle was a bit more crisper mine starts easier now even in 0* temps.........I'd do it again

I don't know if it makes a difference or not. When you look down the throat of the carb, the choke, even when open, looks like a big obstacle for the air to get around.

that's why you should scrap it:p

yours starts better now than it did before? i had a 42 pilot jet in long before i removed the choke. if its 40 degrees out, it won't start without the choke. the pilot skrew is useless. right now i am at two turns out because at idle, the bike is a little rich. whether its at 1.5 or 3 out, it doesn't want to start but it still runs a little rich on idle. in the summer i can get it started without too much trouble. whether i hit the gas a few times before i try and start it or not, still doesn't start good. the battery is good and has good cranking power. i am not running a rev box. i have tried several different plugs because i thought maybe i got a bad one. the only thing i did not try was running that hotter plug. i think it is the ngk dpr7z if i remember correctly.
