Standing my 400 on end

How do I stand my quad on it's back end without loosing gas and will the oil go places it shouldn't .? Thanks

turn the gas off. when you first flip it up a little bit of gas will drip out. otherwise nothing else should drip out

I tie my vent hose in a knot. I also turn off the gas then let the motor runs till it dies so there is no gas in the carb..

You could also turn the gas off and drain the float bowl. The tube that is connected to the bottom of the bowl has a screw where is connects to the carb. Loosen the screw (do not remove completely) and the gas will drain out the hose.

I don't do this though...I just turn off the gas and pick the quad up.

Just turn off the gas and let it run till it dies. Then stand it up. I do it all the time.( I have to stand it up to lift it into the truck.)

I think the whole point of the question was to avoid gas pouring out of anywhere. Maybe I didn't clarify which vent hose, I meant the one on the gas tank.

just turn off the gas and lift it up on the grab bar. you dont have to run the carb out or anything like that.

LOL I haven't even SEEN a Rainer beer in years. They closed down the brewery years ago and now the roast coffee beans there. Rainer beer was a laxitive, not a beverage.:blah

Gas shouldnt leak out of the hose on the gastank unless.....well Ive had my quad upside down before(not on purpose) and it didnt leak out.

He is talking about a 400ex. It comes out but not that much. Just turn the gas off or it will keep coming out. Gas also comes out when you do a wheelie. Try wheelieing on pavement and then look at the ground where you crossed. But at least it isn't like the raptor. The gas runs right into the air box. :eek:
