will a timming key (say +4 degrees) for a 400ex fit a 350x? anyone ever retard timming on a 4stroke? i know you can but has anyone

Yes the key from a 400ex will work in the 350x it is the same size. As far as retarding the timing. you would not see any good benefit from doing that.:)
