250x kickstart on 300ex?

A buddie of mine wants to put a 250x kickstart on his 330ex so he can get rid of all his electrical cause its pretty much shot. What will he have to do to make this work?

im not sure what you would have to do but i like havin the kickstart instead of my friend with electrik start. if it is not givin him troubles i wouldnt change anything out.

i have no idea what you would do, but that would be really cool if you coulod pull it off and make it work well.

There was an article along time ago in one of the major mags when the 300ex first came out. It is possible to turn your 300 into a kickstart or have a kickstart as a backup. I dont know how, but you could probably consult MMI with a letter and they may be able to help you.

Hey you guys i know that a 250x and and a 300ex are pretty much the same but i have heard alot of people say it won't work becuse of something on it i foget what it was bout it but i know it can be done but it will end up costing like $800 but i think it would a good investment(300ex gets heavy pushing and is a pain to drag with a dead battery!) and i always thought it would look cool kicking it over n stead of pushin a button!! lol

since the 250 kicks forward, like the r , it might not work, i think the 300 engine would kick back, like the 400ex will, and a regular dirtbike
