Ive seen 7 year olds on Raptors. Theres 11 year olds that drag the fastest raptors made (curtis sparks). To much power. But i guess at their age i was on a 350x. Probably more dangerous.

well I guess theres always a few exceptions,I fully beleive in starting them early but a 12yr old on a Raptor shows someones lacking in the "parental skills" department...IMO

i rode my dads thundercat1000 at 13? i had no problem handling it. i had the spedometer buried at 100(thats all the spedometer goes up to.) and i passed someone doing 115 very quickly so im guessin i was doin 130ish. Now that thing is one crazy snowmobile. gets to 70 in like .2 and to 100 easy. then the fu*ker excelerates from 100!

This is the exact reason why a young kid should not ride a machine like that. Just my $0.02.

I'd like to meet some of these parents that buy them these "high" powered machines... They must be completely clueless. This is the BS that hurts our sport...that kid is gonna go out there and kill himself or someone else with that quad. Then the media will get ahold of it and do a complete spin with it....forgetting to mention some details like....his PARENTS screwed up and bought him the wrong quad. I see it all the time..."Death by ATV", but they always seem to forget the part about them not wearing a helmet and being drunk at the time. :grr  Damn liberals!!!!

as long as they are tought to be responsible. i saw a kid at the track with his dad. they had a worked 400ex and a worked 250r. they werre switching back and forth. Too me it seems safer than somekids bringing the looser friends and letting them loose on the track w/out knowing the diff between the clutch and the brake.
