Is that the bowl by Derick Road? (big or little, depending on who you ask) I always called that one the "big bowl". I have a lot of good memories of that place.

No, never been there myself. My brother went to dune fest last year. He said it was sweet. We go to sand lake because it's only an hour from our Mom's house (free room and board!). Maybe one day I'll make it down there.

Nope, never made it to Oregon...long trip from Kansas! If we were making a trip that far, Glamis would be the stop!! Some guys went to Idaho as you can see on the website link above...pretty cool!

Skat-Trak makes some rail paddles

Also I believe there is a place off of I-205 in NE Portand. I think there name is Oregon Motorsports or something.

Oregon motorsports 2000 Inc. on west Sandy, right off I-205.

Autosport international, in vancouver/ hazel dell, on hwy 99, across from walmart.

Or sandtiresunlimited.com

A rail an go for anywhere from a couple hundred bucks up to $20,000 and beyond.

Horsepower likewise, from stock vw bug motors and 1200 cc motorcycle engines all the way to twin turbocharged cadillac northstars, and everything in between.

I run a 1641 vw, in a rail that weighs about 900 lbs, so we're looking at about 4 times the hp of my ex, but only 3 times the weight. Compared to a quad, it's slow off the line, but by the time I shift into 3rd gear, it feels like my face is being sandblasted.

Glamis is in california (right?) in the desert.
