anyone had clutch cable prod w/lrd pipe

friend of mine having trouble with burning clutch cables on his 400ex with a new lrd exaust so he called and order a cable they at lrd sell for 40 dollars that the price of 2 stockers any one had this trouble. the funny thing he did not want to spend 30 more dollars for a duncan pipe. i had tourched one yet. only replaced mine for maintance resons

The sparks Exhaust is close to the clutch cable as well, just for extra protection I got a roll of Thermo Sleeve from JEGS. Never had a melt down yet.:devil

If you bend the bracket that holds the cable I believe that helps the problem keeps it away from the head pipe..
