Better accelaration, better cornering, and better in the rough stuff.

I dunno about better in the rough stuff but definitely helps w/ the handling. You should pry run bead locks though if you have 18" tires on 9" rims. I dunno if they stay on the bead w/ 8" rims.

I don't think its necessary for the beadlocks. I have a 22" tire on an 8" rim and it seems to be working well.

Bigger tires tend to bounce, or whatever, through the breakin bumps. Thats what I meant by smaller being better in the rough stuff.

19 inch fronts and 18 inch rears.

And in MX you need to get more acceleration rather then top speed. I dont know about most of you guys tracks but all tracks around here youll never get up to your top speed.

lower center of gravity too...
i am getting some turf tamers and groved radials... i hope this set up works well in sand and lose stuff...

ya hardly any tracks i am able to wind it out in 5th, most of them are turny, and get real rough...

groved radials will NOT be a good tire choice for lose stuff.

not even lose dirt--- which will eventualy turn into hard packed...

i will give em a shoot, if they don't work to well i well get holeshot fronts or maxxis... a lot of people here run them and say they work awsome, so i guess they must work

Grooved radials work good on hard packed dirt and last a long time, but the second you get into some deep loose dirt or in a muddy corner, you'll feel that front end sliding when you try to turn. I would recommend Holeshot MX's or Razr MX's for the fronts if you have sandy or loose dirt tracks around your area.

I have been hearing alot about the Holeshot Mx's tread wearing off extremley quick compared to the other MX tires out there. I would go for the Razr's, JMO.

Holeshot MX's do wear out quickly, but it's not like you go out for 3 races and need new tires. But ya, if buying tires every 3 (+/-) months is a problem for you, you should look into a harder compound tire, like the Razr Mx's or Kenda's, or if the track is usually hard packed, go for the Radials... they'll last for a LONG time.

Also, don't buy tires for dealerships. They usually charge you out the booty hole for tires... check out Rocky Mountain ATV/MC. They have awesome prices and really good customer service.

i got fast trekkers in the front and and holeshot xc's in th back and i think it's an awesome combonation. But around here it get really muddy a lot and quick. So when the holeshot wear out im gettin the the 18 in. fast trekker rears mounted on ITP c-series rims from Rocky Mount. ATV.

Fast Trekkers are pretty good but if you trail ride, just becareful cause the knobs on those tires are very widely spaced and puncture very easy. Although, Turf Tamers will puncture VERY easily too. If you think that may be a problem, the Razr's or Holeshots would probably be your best bet. If you just ride on the tracks all the time, then whether or not the tires are puncture resistant shouldn't matter any.
