question about 50's??

i was just wondering why everyone thinks lil 50's are so great. like one guy on here was selling his 20,000 dollar r just to buy a 50 and mod it out. i was just wondering why everyone likes them.

i like them because they are fun

little, reliable, easy to work on, CHEAP to mod, fun to ride.

i just dont understand. there so small. how can that even compare to a normal bike. can someone please explain

the reason why there so popular is because they are alot easier to do tricks on and they are cheap and easy to mod :)

but they dont go very fast right?? i could see doing it as like side fun but how could some people sell there real stuff just to buy them?

yeah most people do do it as a side sport but on 50's you can spend like 6 grand tricking it out and no that doesn't include the bike eather. Like you can get suspension kits, big bore kit,s even alumin (sp?) frame kits :eek2: and there way ahead of the big bike fmx like they were donig back flips way before the big bikes were so i just guessi t's easier

everything true about what you said except the 6grand thing, you would be lucky to try to spend that much on it. I think another reason people like them is because you wipe out on a 50 you laugh your *** off you wipe out on a 250 its a question what is broken and what is bruised. me personally would rather be on my 250 then a 50. i have never had a bad wipeout yet. i think 50s are fun to ride wheelies on and stuff.

i think the reason there so fun is because its somthing so differant. somtimes you just get bored riding full throttle all the time and its just fun to ride a little four stroke 50 for a while. you dont need to go fast.....if i wanted to go fast i would hop on my dirt bike.

i can see uve never ridden a 50, u can put 6-7 grand in em easy, there not slow like u think and a big bore one is hard to handle, there fun because u dont need a bulldozer and a ton of land to have a good time u can jump things that on a big bike would be no fun, they do about 35 and thats like doin 50 on a big bike mine carried me fine and its a ton of fun i coluld see someone liking em more than quads or big bikes there alot of fun especially when u got someone to ride with

im 240 and it wasnt that slow got a decent roost outta it

i think 50s are harder to do tricks on, its like ridin a bmx bike they move around alot and stuff

oh and if you people say you cant spend 6000 on a 50 dont look in the last issue of motocross action unless you wanna get proved wrong
