I agree 100%

People dont understand what can happen to a person when they bang their mellon on the ground. It could ruin the rest of your life
physicaly and financially. Why put your family or friends through that. Go to the nearest hospital and go to the head trauma area
and look at some of the people that are suffering from a head injury and then look at their family that are hoping they will recover and be able to feed themselves and wipe their own arse or even know who they are. So if your a person that dont put a helmet on it just shows not only you dont care about your own safety but you dont care what you put your family and friends through..

Ride smart put a helmet on:cool:

Well said!

I've seen a good friend hit his head last year, it wasn't a pretty sight. The guy was in a coma for 3 days, in intensive care for 2 weeks, and still has a speach problem.. which he might have to live with the rest if his life. Put on that brain bucket!

Oh, and nice pictures! :blah

Thats some nice air on that fitty.. I was riding at some trails near me that have a bike jumping area, some 50's were in there doing the bike rhythms and stuff. I mean, these jumps were gapped on average probably 10 - 15 feet, so they were crankin those. It was pretty funny.

05-14-2003, 10:29 AM

Juggalo
05-14-2003, 10:47 AM
rico i know what an accident is here but theres not much that can go wrong here, i mean its no more dangerous that crossing a road, theres the possibility but you don't wear a helmet crossing the road. i don't want you to think we make it a habit of not wearing helmets tho, casey almost always wears one. actually that was one of the first times i saw him ride without one.

anyways about me, not sure of the gap size, its not too big tho. suspension i am running works triples with rezzies in front and stock in back. stock everything else as far as the chasis goes. the jump is actually a mid-3rd hit, but when i first saw it i thought it would maybe be a 4th gear jump. however its got a lot of kick to it and so a little gas goes a long way on it.

sweet Picks.......nice 50.......i am thinkin of gettin a XR 50!!:D

05-14-2003, 01:39 PM
If any of you nonhelmet supportive guys wish...I'll give you the number to my buddy that's got the mind of a 13 year old after he wrecked his dirt bike. Oh yeah he was a top notch rider that never wrecked and was in full control..i mean what could go wrong as your logic has it...he's 29 with 2 kids and he can barly wipe his own *** now after that wreck. Did I mention that he had a helmet on when he wrecked...

So I'll preach to everyone about wearin helmets thats what responsible adults do...maybe one day you kids will grow up and realize that goin thru life thinkin your made of stainless steel will wear off but hopefully before then you'll pull your head out of your *** and wake up to reality and the dangers of what can happen to you while on a xr50 or on a pissed off drag banshee...

Oh yeah..if your head is up your butt...unzip your zipper so you can see and go read rule #4...:blah

05-14-2003, 02:10 PM
its not that we dont know what can happen its just the fact we dont give a fudge if i choose to ride xr 50 without a helmet i know what can happen

Freeride..i'm not tryin to be a a-hole and tell everyone how to ride and preach to them. Just think about your parents and what they will feel like if, and hopefully not,,if that day comes when you get hurt like my buddy. Parents shouldn't have to deal with that..so if you guys truly love your parents..put the brain bucket on for them if anything...:)

no its not that, when im ridin my 50 and jumpin im doin no more than 15-25 im in control and have as much of chance as getting injured goin down some stairs, i think doin any riding on a quad trike or bike without a helmet is dumb , the only time ive crashed kinda bad on the xr is when i put a helmet on to take pics:confused2 i actually have only taken hard hits to the head snowboarding..

the funny thing about fate is its normally the simplest task that causes someone to get hurt or worse. i once raced a mx...fastest ive ever rode...was flat flying....was bangin bars...almost wiped out the whole 9 yards...not a scratch. while i was riding the quad up the ramps in my truck...the ramp slipped and i flipped the quad over...broke my arm:ermm: you never know when bad chit will happen

believe me i am about as pro helmet as they come but all i am sayin here is that what casey was doin was no more dangerous than a lot of other activities where you don't wear a helmet. there is always the possibilty you could get seriousley hurt doing anything, hell a car could come plowing through my living room right now and take me out. i know there are rules and i am not saying that that isn't a good rule or that helmets aren't important, i am just saying some people are making a bigger deal about it than it really is. but i think we all get the point now that helmets are important and you should always wear one when riding weather your clearing big doubles, jumpin your 50, or even ridin your quad up some loading ramps! so maybe now that we all got the point we can get back on topic!
