shaved fenders w/ scoops ???

I was about to install a pair of scoops on my 400 just before i planned on shaving the fenders but i was looking at the bike wondering if the scoops will stick out of the sides and look bad and get in the way, any one ever had that problem?

but check this out, your air scoops bring more airflow through the engine which causes it to run cooler and bring through more power, hence "power train"
