Help needed.....

If the rear bearings went bad, would it make a noise when you ride? I have been having problems with noises coming from the rear/ chain area lately and I really wanna get it fixed so I can ride. There is what looks to be grease leaking out of the swingarm near the rear sprocket when I sprayed it with the hose. What could be the problem? My 400ex is 2002, do bearings go out that early? And what could cause the chain to make a noise when nothing obvious is wrong. Im puzzled and I really need your help.:confused:

It may be your bearings. Mine is a 2002 as well and I haven't had any problems but I don't ride in a lot of mud or sand really, (don't know if you do either). You might want to take the carrier out and have a look at it. It may just need greased up real good. Did you check everything to make sure nothing is loose in the back. Hope I could help somewhat.
