you prolly had your chain way to tight. my friend just craked his sprocket hub cause his was to tight.

you think so. you think my front sprocket would have any damage? its a renthal to and looks pretty beefy compared to others.

I've seen Renthal bars snap like twigs and now sprockets with cracks in them that are new........:ermm:

sounds to me like you need to swicth brands. More expensive does not necessary mean more better. Or you can be cheap like me and the parts never break.

Sorry to hear that too you should try emailing Renthal maybe they will send you a new one.

Just a try

you guys act like this is something new...parts break... that doesn't mean they suck just cause 1 person cracked a sprocket. for the money i would still always go with renthal over sunstar, sunstars wear down way to fast and are kinda thin compared to renthal..just my .02

yeah I know parts break. but a clean snap like that plus it's new. Sounds like a defect to me

well is not really all that new. i bought it 6-7 months ago. but the teeth are still good on it and i thought it wll last for up to 1 1/2 years until this happened. im not saying renthal is bad, i will still buy them but i guess it was my fault cause i think i had my chain tighter than usaul.

renthal sprockets are aluminum, other sprockets are steel and what not, so to make sumthing out of aluminum just as strong as what is made out of steel you need more aluminum. that is why renthals seem befier then others and by the way i have anever had a problem with sunstar but i never treid renthal and probably wont, i am not so worried about wiegth that i wouls use aluminum sprockets over steel.

dont think im stupid for saying this cause i dont know much about metal. it says its made out of aluminum alloy. what is done there to have made of aluminum alloy. i disagree with you saying that aluminum sprockets have to have more than steel because if you look at their front sprockets they are beefed up just like the rear and the front is steel, correct me if im wrong.

and has anyone experienced with a sidewinder or are they not worth the money????

renthal fronts are case hardened chromoly, if that really means anything. i put a renthal rear on the crf and its shot after 3 races. some things cant be made out of aluminum.

maybe its because you bought a RENATHAL, the Renthal knock off brand.;)
