i cant remember the last time i stoped mine and took the time to take it out of gear:huh now i do sometime when i start it so i can go get my helmet but it wont hurt it to let it sit in gear. just be sure to use the clutch both ways.

Haha, leaving it in gear is my parking brake! The manual even suggests it (I think). Its actually a good idea to leave it in gear when you start it. Pull the clutch and go. The only time I put it in neutral is to put on my helmet, or if my wiring on the neutral block out is flakey and I have to put it in to start it.
