Has anyone put in either a CR500 motor or an XR650l motor in a quad? I've heard the CR will vibrate like crazy but how much more than it does in the bike frame? What quad frame would you use to start with? Thinking about building something - I'm bored!

Here is a pic of a cr500 in a 250r frame. I heard they vibrate alot more than a bike because a bike moves from side o side but a quad has for wheels so it cant move and the frame takes all the vibration:ermm:

dont do it !! if you do do it use an aftermarket 250r chassis !! but i dont think you will be happy with it !! its going to crack the sh** out of the frame!!

actually, if done correctly, the cr 250 will be just as good as a 250r, rubber mounted nice aftermarket frame, would crack just like any other frame

No it isa full Laeger's chassis.

a guy I race with did a 500 swap and it did vibrate a lot. it was a stock frame..but would be a fun project. I think dirt wheels has done a xr project, they used a laegers chassis.
