ive decided that im getting a HMF slip-on. i was wondering how quiet it was with the quiet core and how much power it lost. also what do you think would be a good color? i have a red 400ex. i did a serch and found nothing about the quiet core or any pics of colored pipes. Thanks

I do have the q-core in my HMF. It's louder than a stock pipe obviously but much quieter than a bare HMF. I think it's slightly queiter than a stock Cannondale for those of you who have ever heard one. I haven't raced my cousin yet (quad's up on jackstands waiting for shocks and a-arms) but seat-of-the-pants tells me it's going to be REAL close. My quad definitely feels stronger off the bottom up to mid but his then seems to come on a little more from the midrange on up. We won't really know until we go side-by-side. If I had it to do over again I'd definitely go with the q-core.

The insert is really nothing more than a Red Bull-sized can with perforations all through it.

Never heard an E-series but it's quieter than a T-4 and FMF MegamaxII.

Hey I went the website. It calls for a 200 main jet. Doesnt that seem alittle high?
