Never heard of it being done, but you could always try it. I imagine you could squish that motor into that frame with enough work, but the frame and other stock parts might not be able to handle all that power.

make sure it has a counter balancer. you might wanna try the new 450 motor if you can get your hands on one.

dirtwheels did a comparison test with a 250r,ds650 and a 300ex frame with a xr600 motor like a year ago but i think the frame was after market but its worth a try. I'm thinkin about a xr600 in my 250r frame due to i blow my 250r motor alot

My cousin is all ready working on this as we type.He started out with a 92 250x frame. He had to cut and add 1.5 inchs to the height so the big 600 would fit.he also had to add some more frame brackets. He got the motor bolted in and is working on a kick starter for it.This is were he is running into problems. The one he got is only like 4.5 inchs long.WOULD YOU BE ABLE TO START A 600cc QUAD WITH THAT!!!!I also believe that the kicker kicks back wards and this means that the fenders have to be removed before it could be started or the fenders have to be cut?

all of the pros with 426 and 400 motor have to kick backwards and they are hard motors to kick. so he would probly have to trip the fenders up

Awesome link Rico! Do they do that for stock 400EX frames? That would be nice to do in a couple of years.
