exaust leak

I have a 03 300ex> I have a full DG pipe on it. I posted a thread last week about it back fireing all the time . Well I found the problem.but it took a car machanic to find it. My honda dealer looked at it 5 times and could not find a problem with it. It leaks right where the head pipe come down into the next piece whatever you call it tail pipe where the two springs clamp it together. anybody know of what I can do to stop the leak. Someone said a hose clamp but that looks like crap.:macho :confused:

Disassemble the joint and try a light coating of high temp silicone on the smaller dia. pipe. Reassemble and let it setup longer then recommended as very little air gets in this tight area.

Mine has held up great and stopped that blinking backfire. :D

yeah like knuckles said, take some high temp silicone. try to push it some more for a seal, and put the clamp back on, my e-series was doing that and i fixed it like that.
