Ftr Xc Race Gatorback Pics 5-10-03

Here are the pics from our last race of the season. This race was rained out in feb when it should have been ran. The heat was almost too much. It was about 94-95 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. It was 6 laps at 5 miles each. Many riders quit early from the heat. It is a old limestone quarry and one of the few MX tracks in fla with decent elevation changes. The race course ran through the woods, up and down hills, and around the motocross track. This is a pic overlooking the camping/pits. You can see the MX track in the background.

This is the MX track. The pic was taken about in the center. The big lake in the middle is called the gator pit. Yes, people have gone in it, or at least I was told that. Makes for a good story anyway......

This pic is on the right side, taken at the lip of where you exit the mx track. The pics of the quads jumping is just a few feet to the left of me. As you can see, there are some good elevation changes at this track, and hills are few and far between in florida.

Macblaster start. Things did not go so well for him. About the 4th turn into the race, something shifted in the rear end, and the axle locked down. That was the day for him.

The heat was bad, real bad. Heres bad*****440 getting some water. I had a couple gallons of water that I cut a criss cross in the cap, and would spray it down the front, arms and back when they stopped. Macblaster came over and helped spay water and shout encouragement.

pro400exc getting a splash. I told the racers that I am friends with, where I would be during the race. A bunch of them stopped for a splash.

We stopped at a go kart track on the way home and watched a bit. Man those karts fly. Pics are kinda blurry, sorry.

Yah it was def a badd ***** race...


I am soo glad i finally won another one....I dunno how i did it,i mussta rode my *** off 1st lap,cause the last 4-5 i rode soo slow,just wnated to finish,but thank you lord...
