Who has them. Are they worth it?

The only bad thing I see about it, is having to drill a hole in your head pipe and stick a probe in there.

Exhaust Gas Temperature

Lets you know the temperature, if you're running hot/cool/lean/rich/etc

well if u know how to set your engine up then that would be a waste of $$$

I have found them a lot more useful on a sled, for a few reasons.

There really isn't much room to mount a gauge without it sticking out or getting in the way, unless you get an expensive digital readout EGT. Another reason is that temperatures are much more stable during the summer than in the winter, so the danger of burning down due to a big temperature drop is less, and in southern climates, this problem is pretty much nonexistent. The final reason is that 4 strokes are very stable in temp. changes compared to a 2 stroke. 2 strokes are very finicky compared to a 4 stroke, therefore the need for a device to consistently measure exhaust temperature isn't nearly equal. Now if you are very adamant about having the perfect setup at all times, and want to jet according to changes in the atmosphere, then an EGT could be useful. IMO, an air/fuel sensor is more useful, because you can find the perfect air and fuel ratio and jet accordingly. Besides, there are other factors in a 4 stroke that will effect exhaust temperature readings that could throw you off.
