Melting Plastic

i just bought new silver plastic for my 300ex, and my aftermarket pipe is starting to melt a hole throgh my plastic, does anyone have any ideas on what i could do about that,:eek: :grr

Some heat tape should to the trick.

/\ that shoudl definitly do it. If not put a little fiberglass behind it.
