Basically...triple rates has more springs (3) so it makes for a smoother ride over dual rates (2 springs).

the differnt rates mean different types of compression. something like that. double means soft and hard landings. the triples are for all three. soft, medium, and hard landing. its something do with with the way they compress. you can read it up on elka or works they tell you about different rates.
