I got my bearing carrier installed and there is about an 1\8 inch gap between the sprocket hub and the outside of the bearing carrier. I tried tapping it in farther with a hammer, but that is all the farther it will go. Is this the way it should be or does it need to go in farther. The reason why i am asking is because the clip that holds the front sprocket in place keeps wearing down and i don't know why.
