Use a small flat head screwdriver to pop the fastners up and then use some plyers to pull them out. Just don't reef on them too hard or you'll be buyin new ones. :D
They are actually pretty easy to get off it you are careful with them. After the first time, they come off much easier after that.

Mine are a pain in the but to get out, even still. I use a screw driver to pop them up a bit, then use what we call a nipper to pull them out.

The nipper is kind of a cross between a plyers and wire cutters. They are kind of built like this \/ The would easily cut through the little plastic things if you tried, but because they have a cuved edge, you can just roll them out. I'll see if I can find a pic.

hey guys. i tried it for the first time last friday and didn't have too much trouble.alot of the trim tabs were stuck together so i sprayed wd 40 in them after a minute or so of being soaked it that stuff they came out. i needed to take the side covers off to mess around with my jetting.i did it again today (since i did it wrong the first time...dont ever mistake the drain screw from the fuel screw, kiddies), and they came out very easy.

thanks alot.

I use wire cutters.. THe sharp edge fits perfect under the slips to pop them out.
