If I get an FCR 39mm carb, do I need to convert to a twist throttle, or can a thumb work? All the carbs I've looked at come with a twist.

All you need is a new cable. I think there's something i the FAQ sectoin about the part number for the cable. If you want to go with a twist, you can use one from a CRF450.

sparks, or baldwin can hook you up with a cable, or you can use a foreman cable, its a bit long, but it works, thats what i got on the crf.

You don't have to converrt to a twist. You just need a cable off a Forman. Go to the FAQ sections. ;) It is a little long, but with some creative rounting it is not a problem. I think it only cost about $15.

If you order the cable from Sparks it will fit perfect. It is the right lenght and it is a lot easier to install.
