Does anyone know what's necessary to put a 300 engine in a 250r chassis? Are there any aftermarket chassis available for the 300 engine? Something with 250R geometry? I hoping to try this out after the riding season is over. I realyy like the handling of the 250R but I like the reliability and reverse of the 300ex. Anyone with pics of this R/EX conversion? Thanks guys!

get a Z. Its frame is almost identical to the R and it has reverse and more power. but im sure it wouldnt be too bad. Call Rath Racing, they do lots of conversions like that.

That conversion has been done to death, for those of you who don't remember the 400 hasn't been around forever. The 350x motor was also very popular in an R frame.Back in the day if you wanted four stroke power in a good frame than you had to do it yourself(unless you had the money to spend)I don't think there is much complicated about the job, other than new motor mounts and such, now if you go with the 300 then about the only major things you will run into is finding a spot for the battery box and you will need a custom exhaust(SPARKS nows how to make em).

Good Luck~Bill
