Swingarm Differences

Does anyone know how much shorter the 88-89 R swingarm is then the 86-87?? is the axle carrier on an R and a 300ex different ? if so what makes them different im looking for some specs me and buddy are looking to build a new swingarm for his 300 and need to know thanks

the r difference is 1 1/2 inches also the bearing carrier i do not know get the 2 and compare?!?!?!:confused:

The R brg carrier is wider than the 300ex ... I think.

I tried that switch along time ago, but I'm pretty sure they won't interchange.

The 400ex and R carriers are the same though if that helps any.

The 300ex carrier is narrower than the 250R.
