Which is better for performence, the 440 kit or the 416 kit. I want something with the most power but I don't want to sacrifice the honda reliability the I've come to love.. Thanks for the help in advance..

There is a heck of alot of info regarding this on the site. Go to the FAQ and read "Have you decked your (or that) cylinder". It will explain some of the reasons why 416's sometimes or seem to run better. From what I've read, there seems to be some troubles with the head gaskets and the headbolts on the 440, but that may be when running over 11:1 or 12:1 compression. In my humble opinion, I think the 440 really needs some porting to make it fly, so you may want to consider whether or not you are willing to do this as well or not. There is a ton of great info in the one thread I told you about.

Oh yeah, welcome to the forum!:)

Well I had the wiseco 440 kit and had the blown head gaskets and pulled cylinder studs so I bought a new cylinder and went with Ross 416 10.8 to1 compression and I can tell you this the 416 runs alot better than my 440 kit did and welcome to the site

I would have to say the 416 cheaper to build than a 440 and seems to run stronger. The 440 seems to vibrate alot more than the 416.. plus if something happens to the motor you can bore it to the next size 426 :D
