Have any of you guys tried "Silent Sport Packing" pipe packing material? Sounds good: lasts longer than fiberglass and the long fiber stuff has better sound absorbing qualities. Moose Utilities is selling it for around $15.00 a bag. Just wondered if the Germans were on to a better product?

ME TOO!! RMATV sells some packing material designed for 4-strokes. It has stainless steel mesh screen and other layers of insulation and stuff. It costs around $30. Seems a bit high to me but it might be worth it. Has anyone tried this stuff?? Regular insulation packing just ain't cuttin' it on my X-6!!:grr

I got the Silent Sport repack cartridge for my T4 and it was a breeze to install.

Taco, did you order from Procircuit? I want it for a T-4 as well. Did it make it noticeably quieter? I assume it was cut to fit so you can't over stuff it.

Nah I got that stuff from the local dealer.. with the fibers kind you may need more than one bag. All it did was get rid of some of the raspier noise or the higher pitched stuff. Hard to tell a big diffrence. It was too loud before and after....

sounds like a good product. I my T-4 3 months ago and I am just wondering how often I should repack the muffler. In other words how many hours between each packing.

Been riding every week now so it has alot of time on it.

any ideas or comments??

Thank You
William
