I already need a new battery. this will be my 4th one in a year and a half. Now I want to upgrade to a better battery for the new upgrades I have installed.

YUASA make 99% of the bike and quad batteries in the world...and damn near have 99% market share. for a high compression engine and a stock fit...try part # YT12A-BS. its around 70 more cca's then stock and on a small battery thats night and day difference.

my question...why so many batteries? there has to be a reason for the failures...even the cheapest battery from china will usually last a year

I used to have a similar problem. I didn't go through quite as many batteries but since ZI changed to a dry cell, 175 cranking amps, my 440 always starts. I got it at Batteries Plus.

yea it's got to have something to do with heat or something, because i kept one all winter, but first trip to glamis it took a s**t, and i had one die on me at a poker run between the last checkpoint and my truck somewhere...

I have had the same one for over 3 years now. And i dont have a heated garage or anything. I hear the more you ride them the longer they last.

stator bro;) ive seen harleys limp in with a 300 pound cry baby on the back whining that his battery failed.....99% of the time the stator is trashed. we dont get many quads around here...but the failures are 12 to 15 months old and sulfated from non use

Sick0- 4 batteries in one year!!! I will have had my 400ex for 4 years in august. I am still on the same battery that came with the quad and only charged it once. :) Do you leave yours out side or something?

Paul, arent you taking yours too the dealer. I thought you were? Just wanted to say my quad starts and I have all my a-arms on my quad. Do you?

i dunno wtf is wrong with it... oh well.

i took it to the dealer the first like 6 times, but the last time i had snapped my shift shaft, but i had a kasea 250 battery in my quad so it actually started... It's going back down there as soon as i get my a-arm in... and i may end up needing a new stator...

i use the fast by gast batt but you will need to make a larger mount see link.

Buy a manual and a voltage meeter....Check the voltage at the battery with the quad running....And check your regulator.and other things. Way to many batteries. I unhook my battery when my quad is gonna be sitting for a while.

EX80 do you remeber my first race? I had to be push started on the starting line. I can't blame on of the batterys. it broke but the orther 3 shiz the bed.

This last one ran good until I rebuilt it over the winter so maybe with sitting for so long wear it down and the new engine mods in the winter finished it off.

yeah i remember your first race, you didn't want to shut your quad off at the line because you couldn't start it.

until i got my edelbrock carb i had to charge my battery 3 time in 4 months but with this carb it almost starts like it warm all the time, i haven t had to charge the battery since

problem: burning thru $50 batteries

fix: several hundred $$ carb

haha
