If your engine clicks (because of the valves need ajusting), will it hurt the motor if you still ride it for a while before ajusting them? Or should you not ride it untill you ajust them?

Thanks

yes if you keep riding it when they need adjustment, you'll loose performance and you'll destroy the valve seat and possibly the valve due the fact that the valve will be slaming back into place at full force

ok thanks,
I've got a question about the valve clearance measuring tools.
I don't have one. nor know where to find one--but, I do have a spark plug gap tool, are the measurments on that similar to one on a valve tool, If so, (this may sound very retarded) could I use that instead of having to buy the valve tool?

Thanks

well, the gaps that you set your valves too are .004 and .005 inchs, i do belive, now off the top of my head i can't recall any spark plugs with that small of a gap so i doubt your spark plug tool goes that low but if it does it would work but i highly doubt it

your honda dealer sells a tool for about $5 that has the correct lash measurement (one on each end)

Thanks for the help guys,
I found some kind of measment tool but it only went down to .015" and .035" to the max. I believe it was a sparkplug tool so I figured that won't work. I'll get the right tool for the job.

Thanks again
