I want to get a new piston for my 300 and rings and stuff is what size is a good size to get? I want a little more power dont want to resleeve it and dont want anything to dramatic just some more power. NEver been rebuilt so havnt bored into the cylinder at all and its a 1996. I was hoping to get something close to 300cc or a little under since the the stock is 281. thanks and can you tell me how much it is too? thanks......

mines bored .40 over and it helped sum..not as much as a 330 kit but it was a gain and they only charged about $25 to bore and hone it. Get a high compression piston if u dont wanna bore or if u bore it too get one. makes a good bit of difference

to make it a true 300cc you need to bore it .080 over stock. Which isn't the best way to go, This is what i would do, stay with stock bore and just get a high comp. piston and get a new cam. That'll wake it up a little. Then later on you might want to go the 330 kit.

I would get around 10:1 any higher than 11:1 you gotta run race gas and thats just a waste of money if you ride a lot. A whole new top end with everything is probably gonna run around 80 bucks.
