i have had my 300ex for 3 years now, and recently the clutch or tranny is messing up on me. when the clutch is engaged and you shift into gear, the 4 wheeler begins to move ahead with out letting the clutch out. should i be getting a new clutch or adjusting it???

Im pretty sure thats what it is. I guess its possible for it too be something else. Its definaly worth a try because it takes about 30 seconds to adjust it. Do you need to know how to adjust it?

At the clutch lever or where the cable connects to the engine.

I would try down at the engine. The one at the clutch perch is for small adjustments and clutch pull. If you run out of adjustment or it is still not right, I would recommend purchasing a new clutch (about $80) and a new cable (about $10-15). Don't ride something that is broken, it wont get any better!!
