just wondering it anyone runs a FDO motor and how they like it? I have a 250X that was all done by FDO...its bored and stroked to a 365. its at FDO right now being repaired and when I get it back it will be a 406. :D for you that are looking for someone to build you a motor...I recomend him. he does great work and builds very fast motors. I think he does some pretty fast 465 400ex strokers.

I have talked to FDO over the phone regarding porting. I would have sent my head to him but I was under a time frame. I live in CA and with shipping and all it would have been a while. My buddy sent his motor to him and he is having a 493 stroker built. Should be quite a motor. FDO is a great guy to talk to. If i end up going with a stroker down the road the motor will go to FDO

they are great people there! I have been running FDO motors for about three years now and have had great luck. I currently have a 463 stroker and love it. I would recomend them to anyone.

FDO does not have a web site as of yet, unless something has changed since the last time I talked with Mike. Here is his number, 740-967-1078. The only trouble I had was in the tranny, it is not Mike's fault I bent the shift fork. I fixed it and it has been running flawless ever since. Believe me I have ran the crap out of it.
Mike will do you a good job. Tell him that you heard about him on this site. :D

I have been running my 463 in all the GNCC's this year without a bit of trouble from the motor. FDO is working on getting a website up and running very soon. this company is growing very fast with no advertising as of yet. It has all been by word of mouth. I think that says something about a company!!!!!!

how would a 463 equiped 400ex compare to a slightly modified Raptor, KFX, V-Force, and any othe high-performance bike. (slightly modified being pipe, filter, and jet kit). i'm looking for a kit for my 400ex that will stomp my KFX and Raptor buddies with ease. would this kit be for me, or should i look for more kits.

how much will this kit cost me? how much work does it involve. do i send the my motor or just my crank? any info you can give me would help me out greatly.

I dont know how fast his 463s are because I have never seen one, but I can tell you this. my 250X motor done by mike will run those bikes down. I havent raced it yet because I just got it over the winter, but my freind use to own it and i've see him pull holeshots on DSs, raptors, and modified Rs. If you have him do the work for you it would probly be best to send your whole motor in. call him up and you guys can hammer out the details. I was $40 to send my motor from MN to ohio fedex.

Well I have played around with some of my buddies that have Raptors and a KFX400. I had no problem with them. :D Now to be fair they were stock machines.

I have not ran into a quad in the GNCC's That has been ever to leave me. The motor seems to have more power coming out of tight corners than any think out there. Real close to a V-force on the track!
