What is the best size rim for a 400EX for trail riding and a bit of MX.

depends on what size tire you want and how you would like it to ride. your stock tires and rims are a pretty good setup.

for my rear beadlocks i went with 9's runnin 18inch holeshot mxr's, if your serious about moto x and you are not goin to ride trails than get the 8's, but the 9's will give you more posibilities.
