idk he was kinda drunk lol but he sed he was goin to bring his shee down and drag it the 440ex i think might come out on top caus if it gets the holeshot its over for the shee the 440ex is worked for its terrible stock top end so its alot faster

I have raced a 2001 shee with pretty much the same modds except it had FMF instead of toomey, the banshee also had razors on the back. In 4 drag races it constantly beet me by about 2 quad lengths. We race about 300ft and it would just slowly pull away.

I have also raced a 1998 370 banshee that has DG pipes (stock silencers for some reason) direct bolted on kn air filters, and a jet kit. I can usually beet that 370, but the most important thing is traction in that race. The banshee just spins and spins, so if it had better tires it would kill me. Really the race is a toss up depending on how much traction that banshee gets. I have beet the 370 by up to 6-7 quadlengths, or if i win at all its usually less than a quad length and the shee is pulling up like a raped ape.

(all of our drags are around 300ft)

in 200 ft and on dirt the 440 should win easily. depends alot on rider, gearing, and overall machine setup.

the shee will smoke it. belive me. my cuzins with just a little bit of mods is fast as hell.

the banshee would just pull away from the 440!!! even though the 440 might get the shee in the holeshot the banshee would come out on top!!!! for sure!!

i say the 440 would win cause the other, who is drunk would crash and your brother would rather have 500 bucks then help the guy right? heh

I ride a banshee similar to that and it will smoke it but ill tell ya how to maybe win... get him in dirt the lossest you can find STAY AWAY FROM BLACK TOP or concrete if you race on the road there is no chance and make it a short race 300ft about and a 440ex will have a chance. banshees spin a lot with ****ty tires on mine it spins the tires on the road even. banshees have balls and it takes A LOT of work for a 400 to beat one. now if it was a MX race the 440 would prolly win.

There are a lot of factors here. If the 440 is well setup and good running - it may give the Banshee a lot better run than most here are giving credit for.

I have beat many a Banshee in the 300' on my 416, much to the surprize of the Banshee owner - Banshee's typically get crappy holeshots unless setup especially well & most underestimate what a proplerly setup 400 can do.

I can run under 5.5 @ over 50mph in the 300' on my fairly mildly setup 416 - well within the territory of many average banshees. I'll be interested to see what it'll do next time I race it now that I am running a fresh engine and know how I need to gear it (last time I was geared a touch too low & was out of the power in 5th before the end of the strip).

I've done quite a bit of drag racing,On the 1/8th at a local strip that runs quads. Properly setup those bikes are pretty equal. My EX (416 at the time) wouldrun right with Banshees with pipes, filters, and reed cages. Right around 9 seconds at 70+ m.p.h.
Nothing against Banshees but they aren't as fast as most think unless do alot of port work.

If either machine isnt set up right the other is gonna be the winner.
