Va Beach race??

I went to the Race's in Va Beach.. I didnt race or anything I just went to watch. it was awsome . i watch a beginer class and one dude went over a birm and 3 other riders fallowed right behind him and the all dog piled.. it was great.. and the 400ex's and 250r's were kickin ***** .. I still have to develope the pics.. i will post them as soon as i get them back.. :cool:

I was there and raced the 265/440 mod "C" class. The weather ****ing sucked. It was 80 degrees friday for practice then sat it was raining and in the 50's:grr . I had a good time but I went home early and didn't race today. It rained all night and when we woke up we were like screw it and went home. i heard the track was terrible today. Riding in the sand is not what I thought it was going to be. I'll stick to my dirt ;) .

well, i got pics ,but i post them a little later. i raced this weekend and had a blast! weather could've been better........i finished 8 out of 21 in open 24 to 35 age class and 9 out of 22 in modifided "C" class.<would've done better if i didn't get stuck and everybody passed me!)hell of a battle with 22 quads coming out the gate . really tuff when your in the back line and the guy in front of you stalls at the drop of the flag ,huh . russ!? :ermm: the track got VERY rought by the end of the day. braking bumps before and after every jump or turn some almost 18 inches deep! it was like a whoops section everywhere a jump or turn wasn't !the pics i have doesn't do it justice!

Very tough definately. Bad part was I did it again coming off the podem table top to somebody on a blaster... That sucked.:grr. Here's some more pics.

That picture does not do that jump justice. He is flying. There was no lip to the take off of that table at all. It was nothing but ruts all the way up it. Mack races at our local track and Buddy will tell you he is awesome. His Girlfriend races also and is better than most guys on a quad.

Definately would have to agree with that. Jerry you missed it on Sunday. The back two table top step downs had holes in them that would swallow a quad.

Weather sucked....I'm sorry not loud enough....WEATHER SUCKED

But, it was a good time. It was great to meet those of you who showed up and stuck it out in the terrible weather (Jerry's skirt kept blowing up in the wind). Sorry I was so busy I didn't get to really hang out.

I did a great job of blowing up two Cannondales this weekend. Mine shut down Saturday, electronics problem. Mike from All Outdoors in Hampton put me on his Moto for Sundays race , and I blew an oil seal on the scavage pump on it. We put those little black hazzardous waste barrels to use.

The pictures or descriptions in no way describe how rough the track got. There were holes in the track where you could hide a compact car. Endurance was a key factor. Gas it and hold on for your life.

The race was a blast! It was my first quad race. Actually it was my first time riding a quad. The track got real rough. I ended up having CDI probs. in my mains. Did great in my quals. 24-34 (3rd), Mod. C (2nd) but had bike probs. in my mains. I still had a great time. I must say, it seems the "quad" croud is much more friendly than the "moto" croud. I've raced "moto" (dirtbikes) my whole life and there was always tension in the air. I really met some good people this weekend and can't wait to do High Point and Budds nationals.
